Yummy place for breakfast or lunch. I was there on a Sunday AM and the place was packed. We were quickly greeted by a friendly waitstaff and seated within 10 minutes. Our server was fantastic, accommodating several parties that had joined our large table. Coffee was decent and flowing frequently. Nice mimosas. The menu is quite diverse and offers a great variety for breakfast and lunch items. I decided to go the sweet and savory route. The buttermilk pancake was generous and fluffy. The blue crab omelette was tasty. I'll be sure to visit the Bugaboo next time I'm in this neck of the woods.

Service is as others mentioned. Items were for the most part around $8-14. I arrived during brunch, so I chose the bacon and brie sandwich. I absolutely devoured it though I was not hungry at all. Maybe for others, the two slices of bacon might not be enough, but for me the sandwich was the right balance of savoriness and textures. I'd skip the avocado if you're counting cals, since the brie imparted enough creaminess. My husband's old faithful was very generous, but lacked creativity and much flavor. The food and check came out very promptly. I might return for another one of my sandwiches, but Blue Moon Bakery still remains my standby for great service and food.

My family stopped here while driving through Big Sky to get lunch. We walked in not sure whether we needed to waiti to be seated or just seat ourselves, and after a waitress walked by just saying "hi" we had to ask if it was ok to just sit anywhere - just seat yourself I guess... A waitress was with us shortly, and we ordered, waiting about 20 minutes for our food. The food was pretty good; I had the Brie & Bacon sandwich, my hubby had the gyro, and our kiddos had pancakes, eggs and chicken strips with fries. Our lunch was pretty good. Large portions and fresh ingredients. They also serve breakfast all day apparently. The have a small area for kids to be entertained as well with coloring books, blocks, toys, etc. Our server was sweet and seemed to be on her game. Things that could make it better: - Clarity when you walk in where the bathrooms are located and whether you seat yourself so you're not standing awkwardly at the door forever. - Better table placement. We found ourselves weaving in and out of closely placed tables getting in and out of the place. No real defined pathways... - The interior was pretty homey and could use an updated look to bring it out of the 90's.

Speaking only of the breakfast food -- it was yummy. I had the two egg option over easy and they were perfect. I also think the bacon was delivered straight from heaven. However, as good as the meal was -- service was crap. Despite it being off season and no other customers when I first arrived, the staff barely acknowledged me and my friends. And once one of the waitresses did make it to our table, it was clear she would have preferred to be anywhere else but the restaurant. No smile or feeling of friendliness ever crossed this woman's face. She also never checked on our table after the food was delivered, and we had to take a water pitcher from another table after we finished ours because she could not be bothered to refill it. It also was pretty disappoint that the restaurant doesn't offer wifi, which is an absolute must if you have any hope of using you phone while visiting the area.

I loved my visit, away from the resort mania, which is good in my book. Had the REAL corned beef hash and eggs, fantastic flavor, lots of food. We sat out on the patio and got great service, I didn't see, nor experience the service woe's of others. As others have commented, this is not a chain, a locally owned place. Because it is away from the resort, I actually appreciated the servers laid back, honest demeanor. They cater to folks fishing the Gallatin River, which is pretty much "just outside the door". I believe they are just open for breakfast and lunch

Great sandwiches and breakfast menu. The staff was very nice. It is a no frills but comfortable kind of place. The food they serve is well made and a good price for the size portions. Everyone at our table really enjoyed the food, we came back twice during our one week vacation.

Cons: No Organic / Fresh Squeezyness Not supplying organic options and touting local sources fruits and veggies in this day and age seems to be a big loss of marketshare. If I am drinking orange juice from tropicana it should not be priced like fresh squeezed. It should be priced like tropicana. Rude Waitresses Beware Fairly common to see in Big Sky where tourism is rampant. Was standing next to a counter where a waitress felt I was in the way and walks by after saying "Excuse Me" in an impatient and condescending tone that made me feel like I was a nuisance to her and not a person who feeds her and her family through my patronage. Second time going up to the same place and being "in the way" I almost got arm checked by the same waitress with another rude "excuse me". If you don't mean to be polite with such expressions then don't say them. Pros: Easy to Find Very good location. Parking is a bit tricky but unless its packed you won't have a problem. Taste the Goodness Very tasty food. Menu is quite old though. Maybe a rotating selection by season or monthly would help spice it up. OVERALL: Service alright but not great. Some waitresses were rude. Food items same as 5 years ago. No organic or local sources products. The only reason it is two star is because the food is very tasty! Everything else brings it down. How to fix it? Get some servers who are happy to serve and some cooks to update the menu to reflect what society thinks is important to have in a Resturaunt.

Pros: convenient location, good homemade potato chips Cons: The sandwiches were dry and bland. Not worth the money. The service was off. The waitress seemed bothered to have new customers. Took a long time to refill coffee. Overall: I'd pass on this joint. There are better places up towards big sky resort.

This place is very yummy! Get the corn beef hash it does not disappoint. Four stars only because even for a mountain town it is a bit over priced for my taste.

Great staff! Food tastes fresh. Homemade breakfast turkey sausage they make there is good. Prices are reasonable. Comfortable atmosphere .

Had an omelette for breakfast the first day and sandwich and homemade soup for lunch next day. Both meals were Awesome!

Food is delicious but last 2 times we've been here the service is terrible. We've been waiting for 50 minutes and we are still waiting for our food. Other people who arrived after us have eaten and paid. The staff is completely unapologetic. Time to find a new breakfast spot :(

Had brunch here, driving thru. Good food (large portions, of both piping hot buisquts n sausage gravy and the three huge pancakes and side of bacon, well prepared). We wereh traveling, so in a hurry, and was a bit befuddled that no one greeted us, so we just sat down......but service was surprisingly fast despite a good size crowd. Friendly waitress, Tara :-). Frequent coffee refills. We I'll return.

We went for breakfast and we were in somewhat of a hurry. The waitress told us to seat ourselves so no problem there. It was cold in the dining room because they had two huge fans going on a morning when the temp was in the mid-forties. But we ordered and I rethought I would ask the waitress to turn them off when she brought our food out. In the meantime an older couple came in and sat down and they asked after the lady had went out to get a jacket if they could turn the fans off or down because they were uncomfortable. The waitress told them "no" because it got too hot back in the kitchen. Wow! As far as the food went, it was very good. It was prepared as i wanted it and the potatoes were seasoned and quite different. But by the time I got half through my meal, it was cold and I was unable to finish it. I was disappointed because we had a long ride planned after. I would maybe try the place again, but dress for the Artic and ask for a heated plate.

Bugaboo is a great casual spot that is a longstanding staple in Big Sky for good reason. They have a welcoming, casual atmosphere that is good for kids, but a full service bar and awesome bloody marys that service the adult crowd. The food is good, basic comfort food; the kind your mom might make if she's worth her weight in the kitchen. The portions are Montana-sized, so bring your appetite and know that you'll get your money's worth and leave full.

Satisfying brunch for the whole family. We had biscuits and gravy (so flavorful!), ranchero quesadilla topped with egg and well-spiced salsa, ciabatta breakfast sandwich with ham and thick-cut bacon, and a kids quesadilla. Two of the meals (ranchero and sandwich) came with not-too-spicy, savory home fries cooked to tender, but not mushy, perfection. Clean, bright and casual, with friendly and prompt service. The kids play area, slightly separated from main dining tables, was an added bonus. The only tiny downside was when the waitress looked mildly peeved (which she attempted to hide fairly well) when we asked for plastic forks to go with our pie that we'd ordered to-go *after* she'd brought our bill and then we asked for leftover containers for the kids meals as well. Sure she had to make a couple trips back and forth. But that's why its called 'table service.' And frankly, she could have saved herself the back-and-forth if she'd asked us about dessert, thought to bring the plastic ware (how else were we supposed to eat pie?) and offered leftover containers. Don't be deterred by the hideously ugly storefront signage. Overall, this is a great place for breakfast or lunch.

Hot T was fantastic. Nice salad to go along with too. Friendly staff laid back ambience

The food was much better than average, good size and the coffee was good. The waitress said to another that she was hung over, but we couldn't tell and she treated us good.

Always good for breakfast, brunch and lunch. I've never had a mishap, never been disappointed, food and service always excellent. It is not fast food; everything is fresh and eye appealing. Taking your guests to this restaurant is a great investment, as mishaps have yet to occur. It's a "take your time and enjoy the senses" place instead of a "oh, I shouldn't have had all that" establishment.

Good breakfast and lunch fares but not open for dinner. Tasty stuff on the menu but the coffee is a real downer. Breakfast coffee should have some punch and their coffee is brewed to serve at a Norwegian Lutheran nursing home... all day long. Bring a thermos and have a ball.

Local, friendly staff, menu constantly changing and consistent. This place is an absolute staple. Their breakfast and lunch are both great with plenty of options from the more healthy minded to the ... well less so. The portions are generous and the house made chips are mandatory. They carry a full bar too which can be tricky to find during day time hours. The Hot-T sandwich is a mandatory meal for my bf every time we're near and I am constantly trying new things and never disappointed. Oh, and try the pies too!

We went for a late breakfast/early lunch and thus sampled from both sides of the menu. Everything was excellent. The clam chowder was HUGE and delicious and the sourdough loaf that accompanied it was nice and warm. Friendly staff and quick service. We will make this a regular stop.

Great place for breakfast (haven't had lunch there yet). Pancakes and french toast are great as well as the omelettes.

As I sit here finishing up my Biscuits and Gravy breakfast , I am contemplating how far I would need to hike to,walk it off. The gravy and 2 egg sides were delicious, but my only complaint is the biscuits were a tad dry. Flavorful but a little lacking in the moisture. I am from the south and we are very particular about our biscuits and gravy. The service was dandy, just the right amount of attention but not hovering. The prices are a little higher than my neck of the woods for breakfast, but it wouldn't stop me from heading back my next time thru Big Sky.

Rock hard burger, salad bland and average

We ate breakfast recently at Bugaboo and it was fabulous. I had the spinach frittata, which was very good and my step dad had the sausage salad. He really enjoyed it. The service was good and servers were helpful in their recommendations.

Great breakfast place. Wonderful pancakes and breakfast food. Easy bite to eat place.

I visited Bugaboo cafe on my trip to Big Sky and ate 2 lunches of 3 possible right here. The ingredients used here are incredibly fresh and they make many of their own fresh like their flat bread which is amazing. The wait staff was very nice on both days and entirely different faces serving me which painted a bigger picture for me, these folks believe in whats going on at Bugaboo and quality and great food is whats going on here. The Gyro is awesome. They have great beers on tap and they even put the entire pitcher of water at my table to do extreme hangover conditions which goes a long way in itself for me. This restaurant is awesome, I highly recommend it and given the chance I will be back as soon as possible.
(5)Ed R.
Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes before you anticipate getting hungry. The service does suck a lot here, due to the fact that they have only 2 wait staff, and they do get totally packed for lunch. Food is excellent, leafy greens, tangy dressing, that kind of thing.
